NMC demands implementation of SRO-520

JAMMU, Dec 19: National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) President, Subash Shastri appealed to the Governor, Satya Pal Malik to strictly deal with the process of implementation of amendments to SRO-520, as this directive has been exploited by lower level bureaucrats as they still have soft corner for previous regimes.
Addressing NMC workers meet here today Shastri expressed concern over the undue delay in accepting and implementing recommendation of Ashok Lavasa Committee set up of by the Central Government to review the structure of pay anomalies pertaining to lower staff.
Stressing on the need for enhancing Medical Allowance for State pensioners on the analogy of Central Government pattern, Shastri, also urged Governor to follow the suit so that pensioners are compensated to defray the day to day medical expenses till the demand of State employees and pensioners to enhance the same to Rs 3000 per month is met with.
Several resolutions were adopted in the meeting which included release of all pending wages of daily rated workers working in various departments, early amendment in SRO 520 and regularization of the services of left over daily rated workers fall under SRO 64 etc.
Those who were also present on the occasion were Rajan Babu Khajuria, B.S Jamwal, Ram Singh, Surinder Kumar, Bhupinder Singh and others.
