All efforts to be made for development of Jammu: Mayor

JAMMU, Dec 19: Mayor Chander Mohan Gupta today said that all efforts will be made for holistic development of Jammu.
He was speaking during a function organized by J&K High Court Bar Association Jammu. “I have met the Governor twice and briefed him about the different ongoing projects”, he said, adding “development of Jammu is of paramount importance for me and all out efforts will be made in this regard”.
The Major also assured the High Court Bar Association of all possible help and assistance at his disposal for the welfare of lawyers’ fraternity.
Speaking on the occasion, President of Association Senior Advocate B S Slathia requested the Mayor for renovation of the sheds in the District Court Complex, Jammu which were constructed with the help of the then Member Parliament.
He said that Bar Association is an apolitical organization and has never carried out the agenda of any particular political party. “The Bar always fought for the cause of the Jammu and its people”, he added.
Deputy Major Purnima Sharma, Vijay Sharma Chairman Municipal Committee, Hiranagar, Depesh Singh Pawar, Chairman Municipal Committee, Akhnoor, office bearers of the Bar Association and Senior Advocates were among others present on the occasion.
