BJP for empowering people, all round development : Priya

JAMMU, Dec 19: Former Minister & State spokesperson, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Priya Sethi today said that BJP was putting in its sincere efforts to empower commoners and make them partners in development of their wards and villages. This was the reason the party walked out of alliance in Jammu & Kashmir State and allowed administration to hold Panchayat as well as ULB polls against the resistance of dynastic parties whose only objective is to befool the people for sake of power.
She said development of every kind including uninterrupted electricity supply, clean potable water, better streets, well laid drains and macadamized roads besides timely delivery of essential services were all on BJP agenda and the party was working towards achieving these targets. This was the reason that departments were regularly being asked to take up works of utmost importance.
Priya Sethi said it was towards this end that fresh water pipes were being laid in Old City – work of which was also inspected by her today. During her tour of Old City, the former Minister visited areas where PHE authorities were asked to replace old and worn-out pipes. She observed that people were jubilant in seeing of pipes being replaced for the reason that they were supplying contaminated water.
Among others present included Corporator Ward 10, Jammu East, Anil Masoom, Vishav Partap Singh, Ashwani Arora, Shardha Devi, Ashish Jain, Nipun Malhotra, Ram Parkash and PHE officials Junior Engineer ,Madan Lal and Nanda Ji
People of Old City complimented Priya Sethi for taking up issue with PHE authorities and getting worn-out potable water pipes replaced. They said that health of aged and children were getting affected because of drinking contaminated water. Now that new pipes are being laid clean water will be available to them, they hoped.
Residents of Kachi Chawni also met Priya Sethi and requested her to take up issue of replacement of water pipes of PHE Department at Panjtirthi so that they also get clean potable water. They apprised her about the worn out pipes due to which drainage water was getting mixed with potable water and proving detrimental for their health.
She assured the people that this will also be taken up with PHE authorities and all such problems will be solved.
