Revenue officials challaned

SRINAGAR, Dec 20: Anti-Corruption Bureau Kashmir today filed challan in the court of law against the then Tehsildar Budgam and some other revenue officials.
An official spokesman said that in a case FIR No. 10/2011 Police Station Vigilance Organization Kashmir (Now P/S Anti Corruption Bureau) against accused public servants namely- Rifat Ara, the then Tehsildar Settlement Budgam and Abdul Rashid Shah, the then Mohsib Tehsil Office settlement Budgam, a challan has been produced before the Court of Special Judge Anti Corruption, Srinagar.
The case was registered on the outcome of the joint surprise check conducted by this Bureau into the allegations that officer/officials had entered into a predesigned criminal conspiracy fraudulently, dishonestly and by abusing their official positions had misappropriated Rs 12 lakhs by way of manipulation of records and drawing of allowance bills fraudulently of the employees posted in the Tehsil office, Settlement, Budgam.
During the check the above mentioned facts disclosed cognizable offences committed by the accused officers/officials therefore, Case FIR No. 10/2011 was registered in P/S Vigilance Organization, and investigation was taken up. The investigation of the case was concluded as proved against the accused public servants.
