JAMMU, Dec 20: A delegation of Ex-Central Paramilitary Forces Welfare Association led by its President Shashi Sharma met with Advisor to Governor K Vijay Kumar here and submitted memorandum of demands.
In the memorandum, the delegation demanded issuance of martyr status, State reservation quota for recruitment of their wards in the State Government and admission in the educational institutions under special quota, implementation of pension benefits pre-2004 pensioners, revision of pension of 6th and 7th Pay Commission to the para military forces who are getting the pension from J&K Treasury for which the Central Government has already issued notifications for implementation of the 6th and 7th Pay Commission in favour of left over pensioners who are suffering badly on this account and provide job opportunity to the kins of martyrs who laid down their lives on J&K border and LoC due to militancy for recruitment under SRO 43 in the State of J&K on the pattern of all other State in India.
Advisor gave patient hearing to the delegation and assured that the genuine demands will be redressed.
Among others present were RS Chib Chief Patron, Daleep Singh Vice President, DK Chauhan General Secretary, Mohinder Singh State Secretary, Janak Raj Cashier, Jagar Nath Vice President Vice President Tehsil RS Pura, Ashok Kumar President Tehsil RS Pura, Gurmachan Singh, Noor Sahan, Mohammad Masjid, Mela Ram, BS Sharma, Ashok Kumar, Daleep Singh, Gurbachan Singh, Swarn Lal and Munshi Ram.
