BJP holds meetings at Lakhanpur, Udhampur

KATHUA, Dec 21: BJP today held meetings at Udhampur and Kathua districts respectively.
While addressing the meeting at Udhampur, party senior vice president Pawan Khajuria asked the newly elected Panches and Sarpanches to concentrate on development in their area as BJP led Government at Centre has sanctioned huge funds for the Panchayats and development of rural areas.
The meeting was held under the presidentship of party’s district president Rakesh Gupta. Khajuria asked party men to work unitedly and launch a door to door campaign for upcoming Lok Sabha elections to ensure the victory of party candidates in the State and ensure return of BJP to power at Centre with a thumping majority.
Khajuria asked BJP men to visit every corner of the district and apprise people of the policies and programmes of Modi Government and development schemes launched in the district by the Government as well as local MP. He said return of BJP to power at Centre is must for development and making India a strong nation as country is facing challenges from within as well as external forces.
BJP district president, Rakesh Gupta appealed the party workers to strength the organization at grass root level to make all possibilities of party’s victory in Parliament and Assembly elections.
Meanwhile, the party held a meeting at Lakhanpur in Kathua district today in which a large number of Panches and Sarpanches participated.
The meeting was chaired by district president BJP Prem Nath Dogra and all senior leaders of the Party were present. They highlighted the policies and welfare schemes launched by Modi Government for the upliftment of masses and said the agreement of Shahpur Kandi was a historical decision which the previous State and Central Governments failed to take in last 38 years.
The meeting resolved to work for strengthening of the party in the district while the sarpanches and Panches took a solemn pledge to work for development of their respective areas so that people can take benefit of Modi Government’s developmental agenda.
