SRINAGAR, Dec 21: Residents of Rajbagh Mohallah of Dangerpora in Sopore today held a protest against PHE Department for its failure to provide them regular water supply.
Protesting with empty pots, the inhabitants said the water supply line in the area is very old and has damaged at several places, resulting into leakage. “Despite many requests, the PHE Department has failed to change old and damaged water supply pipes in the area which is giving us tough times especially in this chilling winter as we are unable to get water,” they added.
The inhabitants said that they are living a miserable life without proper water supply in the area since years, which is affecting their day-to-day life. They appealed the higher authorities of PHE Department to look into the matter and address the issue on priority.
