RAJOURI, Dec 22: The police claimed to have traced a girl who went missing mysteriously from Kalakote area within hours of its report.
A police spokesman said that a woman from a village of Kalakote approached Kalakote Police Station on Friday evening and lodged a complaint stating that her daughter (identification with held) went to the market and did not return home.
On this, a missing report was lodged and an alert was issued in the entire district while details of missing girl were also shared with police of Jammu and Reasi districts.
Teams of police raised several nakas to find out the girl. In the night hours, a team of Jammu police succeeded in locating the missing girl in a passenger vehicle at Chowki Choura, near Akhnoor on highway.
Later, she was handed over to Kalakote police and further to her legal heirs. SHO Kalakote, Mustaj Ahmed has started investigation into the cause of her missing.
