KISHTWAR, Dec 22: MLC Firdous Tak today said that PDP will emerge strongest than before under the leadership of its party president, Mehbooba Mufti.
He said that Mufti Mohammad Sayeed not only gave a political alternate in the form of PDP but floated an idea of peace and reconciliation. “Today, everybody is endorsing this idea and roadmap for resolution of long pending Kashmir issue and PDP will always have a strong political role to play,” he added.
He termed the recent happenings in the party as a routine which is part of political process. “Our agenda and policy is our strength. We are sure to bounce back and carry forward our mission of peace and reconciliation”, he said while addressing the new entrants in the party.
Speaking on the occasion, district president of PDP, Sheikh Nasir Hussain, said that workers of PDP strongly stand behind the party leadership and the turncoats and opportunists will be punished by the people. He said that the demand for separate divisional status to Chenab Valley by PDP is the need of hour and everyone in this mountainous region shall unite to achieve this goal.
