JAMMU, Dec 22: Former Deputy Chief Minister & senior BJP leader, Kavinder Gupta, toured Bahu area and listened to the grievances of the people there.
Gupta was accompanied by Vinay Gupta, Sharda Kumari, Dalbir Singh, Vivek Patyal, Sunny Sangotra and local party workers. He inspected the ongoing works under various schemes of Gandhi Nagar Legislative Constituency. He also inspected the ongoing work of the deep drain being constructed by the UEED at the cost of Rs 22 crore.
While speaking on the occasion, Gupta called upon the party and BJYM workers to approach public and expose the truth behind the anti-people policies of the Congress and their deeds during Congress regime. He said the funding from the Union Government has been increased manifold to all those schemes which are directly linked with common man.
He said the equitable development of the State is the concern of the Union Government led by Prime Minister, Narenddra Modi. Many socio economic schemes for the up-lifting of under privileged have been launched by the Union Government and it is the duty of every dedicated worker of the party to reach and identify the beneficiaries for the respective schemes, Gupta added. He alleged the works executed earlier during NC -Congress rule in the Gandhi Nagar Constituency were of substandard. Gupta said after he was elected to the Legislative Assembly from Gandhi Nagar Constituency, his focus was on the quality of the works being executed in the area and this will continue. He appealed to the residents of the area that if they find the low grade material being used in the execution of the works under process in the Constituency, they can directly come and register complaint with him.
Kavinder Gupta also welcomed the decision of the Union Government for extending Industrial policy to the State of Jammu and Kashmir on the pattern of North Eastern States. He said the Industrialists shall now be able to accelerate production activities in the State which will be helpful in reducing the unemployment problem to some extent. He said he will be discussing the issue with Governor, S P Malik, to request the big national players to come to Jammu for investment so that the more employment opportunities are available to the youth of the State.
Gupta also stressed upon the youth to come up with the business projects and avail the benefits of the Government schemes viz. JKREGP, PMEGP, Start Up, schemes of JKEDI and many more such schemes. He also emphasised on the role of youth in nation building by participating in such schemes.
