JAMMU, Dec 23: Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president and former Minister Ghulam Ahmed Mir today said that Kashmir and Kashmiriyat is incomplete without the return and rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits in their own home land.
Addressing apex body meeting of J&K Pradesh Congress Committee, Migrant Cell at Roop Nagar (Muthi) here today, Mir said Kashmir and Kashmiryat can not be complete without the rehabilitation of Kashmir migrants especially the minority community. He said the age old secular credentials of Kashmir are under question without the return of Kashmiri Pandits to their native land, with dignity in an atmosphere, where they could feel sense of security to their lives and property as well their religious rights.
He said the migration of Kashmiri Pandits from Valley is a blot on the secular tradition and religious brotherhood, for which Kashmir and Kashmiryat is known and their return is unfinished agenda and challenge to all political dispensations in the country and the State, as well as those who believe in the secular values of the country.
PCC chief said that Kashmiri Pandit brethren are an important part of State’s composite culture of harmony, age old tradition of brotherhood and togetherness, their return to Kashmir valley with dignity in an atmosphere of peace is of a paramount importance as the Kashmiri culture will continue to remain incomplete till their return and rehabilitation.
He recalled the role of Kashmiri Pandits in strengthening the Party in the State as well as in the country. Mir expressed hope that the community will perform the same role in future too in strengthening the Party in the State.

The meeting threadbare discussed the strategy to counter the false propaganda of the BJP at the Centre and in the State. Almost all participants shared their views and highlighted various problems faced by them and criticized BJP for its total failure to fulfil its promises made with the people during elections.
Raman Bhalla, Mula Ram and HL Pandita also spoke on the occasion and targeted BJP for its false hood and total neglect of Jammu and other public issues.
