JAMMU, Dec 23: A meeting of Durga Nagar Welfare Committee was held under the chairmanship of its president, Roshan Lal Raina today in which various problems of the people of the area were discussed.
The meeting expressed grave concern over prolonging of water supply gap, delay in repairing of rising main lines, installation of pipes in Kailashpati lane, establishment of JK Bank ATM in Sector 2, Durga Nagar, starting the work of pre mixing on pending roads, digging of new tube wells and construction of OHT on JDA land, providing of lamps, switches and wire to the concerned line men, replacing of damaged lights, posting of adequate staff to J&K Bank, Durga Nagar branch and establishment of dispensary.
The meeting demanded that water supply be provided on alternative days. It sought the intervention of Government in settling the problems and urged it to issue the orders to concerned officers in this regard.
Bihari Lal, Mohan Lal, C L Zutshi, Badri Nath, Mr Razdan, Bushan Lal, A K Bazaz among others attended the meeting.
