JAMMU, Dec 24: Natrang is going to organize a first ever cartoon making workshop for children which is going to start on 1st of January, 2019 at Natrang Studio Theatre.
The workshop is being conducted by prominent cartoonist of the country Chander Shekhar, popularly known as Bunty Cartoonist, who has brought Jammu to the National/International limelight through his unique creations of cartoons.
It is pertinent to mention that Bunty Cartoonist holds the credit of curating the 1st ever International exhibition of cartoons which was organized both in Jammu and Srinagar under the aegis of Indian Council for Cultural Relations. The focus of workshop is to attract the interest of children towards this greatest art of cartooning which can magically enhance the creativity and imagination of the children.
Speaking about the art of cartooning, the Director of Natrang, Padam-shree Balwant Thakur said that cartoons have always attracted the child’s eye and has been an important part in enhancing a child’s imagination. Carto-ons have been seen as ‘humour with a pinch of salt’ that not only is a creative medium to communicate but also a visual semiotics and visual persuasion medium.
