AJKLTF apprises DSEJ about grievances of SSA/RMSA teachers

JAMMU, Dec 24: A deputation of All Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh Teachers Federation, under the aegis of Akhil Bharatiya Rashtriya Shaikshik Mahasangh, called on Director School Education Jammu and apprised her about the problems being faced by the teaching fraternity.
The delegation, led by Pardeep Sharma, State vice president of AJKLTF, discussed with the Director issues related to salary of Masters/Teachers working under SSA/RMSA schemes.
JKLTF said that these Teachers/Masters had not been paid their salary since August 2018 till date with the result that they were facing many hardships and not able to serve bread and butter to their children and pay their School/College fees. The DA arrears of these teachers are also pending since 2015.
The delegation demanded immediate release of salary alongwith DA and 7th Pay Commission arrears of these Master/teachers working under SSA/RMSA schemes at par with other employees.
The Director School Education gave a patient hearing and assured the deputation that she would personally look into the whole matter and do the needful. She said that looking into the genuine demands of teachers was on priority of the Department.
The JKLTF delegation comprised of Manjeet Singh, Narinder Kumar, Rakesh Kumar, Sanjeevani Singh, Ravi Kohli, Dinesh Kesar, On Parkash, Sat Paul Puri, Omkar Singh, Mukesh Kumar, Nazir Ahmad, Jaswant Singh, Kashmir Singh, Dwarka Nath Omkar Thakur and others.
