‘Umeed Ek Pehel’ distributes woollen clothes to poor people

JAMMU, Dec 24: A Trust ‘Umeed Ek Pehel’ here today distributed woollen clothes among the poor population of Kalika Colony at Bahu Fort.
Trust Chairman, Pankaj Gupta along with President, Girish Sharma and the local Corporator Sham Lal of Ward No. 48, Arjun and Javed distributed woollen clothes including hand weaved gloves, mufflers, woollen caps and shawls to the needy people.
The Trust collects unused extra clothes from urban areas to distribute the same among those in need across the State.
On this occasion, Trust Chairman, Pankaj Gupta said that winters in Jammu are very harsh so instead of hoarding clothes that don’t fit us anymore or those that we just have stopped wearing, we should give them to someone so that he/she may also get some relief from winter chill.
Local Corporator, Sham Lal also spoke on the occasion.
Trust President, Girish Sharma said as a moral duty people must come forward to help needy people.
Trust Secretary, Arjun Badyal thanked people for their support.
