JAMMU, Dec 24: Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Armed J&K, A K Choudhary issued promotion orders of 609 officers and officials of J&K Armed Police today after the Departmental Promotion Committees headed by him found them fit for the promotion.
As per three different orders issued by ADG Armed J&K, 101 Assistant Sub Inspectors (ASIs) have been promoted to the rank of Sub Inspectors (SIs), 179 Head Constables have been promoted to the rank of ASIs and 329 Section Grade Constables have been promoted to the rank of Head Constables in J&K Armed Police.
These promotions have been ordered in pursuance to the recent creation of different posts in various non gazette ranks of J&K Police by the Government.
ADGP Armed, his staff officer, Mehmood Ahmed SSP, CPO APHQ Mohd Shafi Rather, Dy. SP Personnel APHQ Mushtaq Ahmad Wani have extended greetings to the promoted cops and their families.
