NDA has an edge in 35 out of 40 Lok Sabha seats in Bihar: Sushil Modi

PATNA, Dec 25: Bihar deputy chief minister and senior BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi today claimed that  NDA would bag more number of seats in 2019 Lok Sabha election than the preceding two elections in Bihar.

Addressing a function to mark the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee here, Mr Modi asserted that NDA was ahead of other parties in 35 out of total 40 LS seats in the state as per a survey. He said that the recent results of assembly elections in three states would have no bearing on 2019 Lok Sabha election.

?NDA will get more seats in Bihar than what the alliance had bagged in 2009 and 2014 Lok Sabha elections,? he quipped.

Mr Modi said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was accomplishing the unfinished tasks of Mr Vajpayee. Mr Modi, after Jawahar Lal Nehru and Indira Gandhi, was the only leader who was elected as Prime Minister of the country by people, he added. (UNI)
