Natrang’s 8th Theatre Fest from Dec 28

JAMMU, Dec 25: Natrang is going to organise 8th Theatre Festival of the year 2018 from Friday, Dec 28 at Natrang Studio Theatre, here.
Giving details, Natrang Director, Balwant Thakur informed a press conference that the fest is being organized in commemoration with the celebrations of 35 years of Natrang.
Thakur said that a four day theatre festival is organized every month since May 2018 and 8th festival is starting from Dec 28, featuring four theatre productions.
With the completion of this festival Natrang will set an all-time record in the country of staging 32 different plays by the same group in eight months.
He informed that the festival will open with Munshi Premchand’s play ‘Kafan on Friday Dec 28 while on Dec 29 Hindi play ‘Aashirvaad’ written by Ram Kumar Verma will be staged.
“On the third day of Natrang Theatre Festival, Pratap Sehgal’s play ‘Zameen Ka Swaal’ will be presented and on the last day of year, play ‘Apna Apna Dard’ will be featured,” he maintained.
He also said that all the plays will be staged at Natrang Studio Theatre, Kachi Chawni at 5.30 pm under the direction of Neeraj Kant.
