SRINAGAR, Dec 26: Former Peoples Democratic Party leader and retired Inspector General of Police, Raja Aijaz Ali Khan, today joined Peoples Conference led by Sajad Lone.
Raja Aijaz former IGP, had joined PDP after retirement. He contested last elections from Uri in 2014 and ended up runner-up with almost 19,000 votes.
With Khan’s joining of PC, around half a dozen PDP leaders have left the party after fall of Mehbooba Mufti led PDP-BJP Government. These include Dr Haseeb A Drabu, Syed Basharat Bukhari, Imran Raza Ansari, Abid Ansari, Mohammad Abbas Wani, Peer Hussian, Raja Aijaz Ali Khan, Mehboob Iqbal, Bashir Ahmad Runiyal and Bakir Rizvi.
