JAMMU, Dec 27: Former Deputy Chief Minister and senior BJP leader, Kavinder Gupta today distributed 400 cards of Ayushman Bharat Health Insurance under National Health Protection Scheme (NHPS) at Gorkha Nagar, Ward -48 in Gandhi Nagar Assembly Constituency.
Speaking at the function, Gupta said Ayushman Bharat Health Insurance will cover over 10 crore poor families (approximately 50 crore beneficiaries) providing coverage up to Rs five lakh per family per year for secondary and tertiary care hospitalization in the country. For the faster growth of the nation and State in particular “we have to adopt the reforms which are pro poor.
He stressed upon the need for the spread of the scheme to the poor masses that can avail benefits of the scheme through implementing agencies. He requested the BJP workers to assist the agency to reach out to masses.
Seeking active participation of the elected representatives of the three tier Panchayatiraj institutions, the councilors of Municipal Corporations, Committees, and councils in the implementation of the development and welfare schemes launched by Union Government, Gupta said that this will ensure that the benefit of the schemes will reach the most deserving person and the intended beneficiary. He also called for active participation of the BJP workers to reach out to the intended beneficiary and make the public aware about the centrally sponsored welfare schemes.
He congratulated Gandhi Nagar Mandal headed by Ankush Gupta for organising such a program and reaching out to 400 beneficiaries. Gupta said this type of programs should be organised in every area. He also congratulated the beneficiaries and said that the people should opt for every welfare scheme. Prominent among those present on the occasion were, Vinay Gupta, Subash Chander, Vivek Patyal, Ankush Sharma, Sunny Sangotra, and Nayan Gupta.
