JAMMU, Dec 27: The Forest Department at Batote block has retrieved its two kanal of land from the encroachers.
After Forester Harveer Singh discovered encroachment, he alerted his superiors and ultimately a team was formed which raided the spot under the supervision of DFO Batote, Safer H Shah.
However, the encroachers escaped during the raid leaving behind the tools like hammer, iron rod etc which were seized by the raiding team.
