JAMMU, Dec 29: In a contempt petition filed by retired veterinarians, Division Bench of State High Court comprising of Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur and Justice Sindhu Sharma has issued notice to Dr Asghar Samoon, Principal Secretary Animal and Sheep Husbandry Department and Navin Choudhary, Finance Secretary.
The notice has been issued to these officers for wilful defiance in implementing the judgement of the Division Bench dated December 22, 2017 whereby the appeal filed by the State was dismissed and retired veterinarians were held entitled to third time bound promotion.
The Division Bench besides issuing contempt notice to the respondents has also directed them to file compliance report within six weeks.
