JAMMU, Dec 29: A labourer was found dead this morning in a drain in Bantalab area of city outskirts.
According to a police official, the dead body of an unknown man was found lying in a drain at Bharat Nagar, Bantalab, Jammu this morning. He said that the deceased was later identified as Ravinder Kumar Yadav (55) son of Bahur Sai Yadav, resident of Chattisgarh and at present living in Bharat Nagar.
“After postmortem, the body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites while inquest proceedings in this connection was initiated at police station Domana,” the official said, adding prima facie it appears that the man fell into the drain last night in inebriated condition and died due to severe cold conditions.
