JAMMU, Dec 30: A Gujjar, working as peon in a Government school has been arrested for allegedly outraging the modesty of a minor girl student.
As per police sources, a Gujjar identified as Asif Choudhary, son of Shah Din, a resident of Gujjar Nagar reportedly locked a girl student of class 11th of a Government School inside a class room and raped her.
The victim (name withheld) narrated the incident to her parents, who reported the mater to Police Station Gandhi Nagar.
Acting over the complaint, a case under relevant sections was registered at Gandhi Nagar Police Station and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, a team from Gandhi Nagar Police Station conducted raid and arrested the rapist.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by SHO Gandhi Nagar Inspector Sunil Singh Jasrotia made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO South Dr Sunniya Ashkoor Wani, SP South Vinay Kumar and SSP Jammu Tejinder Singh.
