Sir,
Under the Governor’s rule, appointment of Grievances Cells in the State of Jammu Kashmir for addressing the complaints was a rightful step for restoring confidence among the people. Advisors of the Governor man the grievance cells methodically and address the hardships people are confronting. This exercise on the part of present dispensation has been widely appreciated by one and all. The motive behind this move was to save the people from cavelier approach of bureuacracy and also from wastage of time. In my view, our Advisors are working efficiently on the system so far as scheduled goes. Grievances are promptly addressed some on spot but in some cases people are disappointed. Here it is not the Advisors to implement the directives as desired by them but it is the bureaucracy down to take action in the matter. Again the aggrieved feels insecure and suffocated in not meeting justice within the appropriate time. Here our finger again rises against the system that works and implements the orders that are given by the apex. We cannot deny this fact that present dispensation in the State of Jammu and Kashmir is working day and night for the development of the State but it will take time to regenerate the mess in the administration. Accountability has to be made pragmatic and practical. Bio-metric system has given us useful results so far as its operation is concerned. Deadwood in the administration needs to be eliminated and honest people should be encouraged. The State is confronting challenging situation that needs daring leadership. The present dispensation has taken some bold decisions for the States’ welfare and still it needs more ahead.
