9 detained for unlawful activities

RAJOURI, Jan 1: The police has detained nine persons for their involvement in unlawful activities with some involved in drugs addiction and peddling in Rajouri area.
Police sources said that these persons have been taken into preventive custody from various areas of Rajouri town on the orders issued by Executive Magistrate Rajouri.
Those who have been detained include Sanjeev Kumar, son of Sham Lal, resident of Dhani Dhar; Gourav Kumar, son of Sansar Chand, resident of Khandli Rajouri;
Jaipal Singh, son of Chamail Singh, resident of Kallar; Shahbaz Ahmed, son of Mohammad Kabir, resident of Kakora; Haq Nawaz, son of Manzoor Hussain, resident of Ward No. 9 Rajouri; Nissar Bhat, son of Abdul Rehman Bhat, resident of Ward number 8, Rajouri; Rajan Sudan, son of Vijay Kumar, resident of Ward number 9 Rajouri; Mohammad Majid, son of Mohammad Latif, resident of Dhanore Loharan and Imtiaz Bhat, son of Abdul Qayoom Bhat, a resident of Ward number 8 Rajouri.
Police said have been taken into preventive custody under sections 107/151/110 CrPC and lodged in district jail Rajouri. The order of detention was implemented by SHO Rajouri, Insp Ajaz Haider. Meanwhile, three youth are said to have been bailed out today.
