JAMMU, Jan 2: Gandhi Nagar police arrested a juvenile for kidnapping a minor girl from Rajbagh area of District Kathua.
As per police sources, a complaint was filed yesterday by a man residing in Digiana area with Police Station Gandhi Nagar stating that her minor daughter left for school, but did not return back. The man stated that her daughter might have been kidnapped by some unknown person(s).
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 3/19 under relevant sections was registered at Gandhi Nagar Police Station and hunt was launched to recover the minor girl.
On specific information, a team from Gandhi Nagar Police Station conducted raid in Rajbagh area of District Kathua and rescued the girl. A juvenile, who kidnapped the minor girl, has been taken into custody.
The girl has been handed over to legal heirs after completing legal formalities under ‘Operation Muskaan’, while further investigation into the case is going on.
