JAMMU, Jan 2: A delegation of the residents of Gota and adjoining Panchayats in Chassana of district Reasi today called on Secretary, PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control, Farooq Shah, at the Civil Secretariat, Jammu and urged him for creation of Sub-Division of PHE, I&FC at Gota/Chassana, under rationalization Programme.
The delegation, led by Gurcharan Singh and local Panches, explained the Secretary that public of tehsil Chassana was suffering to get their issues addressed as PHE Sub-Division is at Bagga in Mahore while I&FC Sub-Division is located at Dharmari.
“As the Government has proposed creation of Works Division/Sub-Division of various sectors like PDD, PHE, I&FC, R&B, a special Sub-Division of PHE, I&FC may be created at Chassana/Gota so that public of this remotest and far flung area can get the benefit of Government schemes,” the delegation said and submitted a memorandum in this regard.
