Arkansas Senate passes “fetal heartbeat” law to ban Most abortions

LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas, Feb 1: The Arkansas state Senate approved a bill yesterday to ban most abortions when a fetal heartbeat is detected, a move that would prohibit the procedure as early as five weeks into pregnancy. The Arkansas Human Heartbeat Protection Act would also require women to undergo a vaginal probe to detect the heartbeat. The Republican-controlled Senate passed the bill 26-8. (agencies)
