KATHUA Jan 3: Police Station, Hiranagar booked two under Essential Commodity Act for illegal transaction of kerosene oil.
Acting on a tip off about one Mahindra Sharma, son of, Jagdish Raj of Chack Protian, Tehsil Hiranagar who is looking after the kerosene oil depot registered under license number DCAPDJ/S/100/K-Oil, is illegally selling subsidized kerosene oil on higher price to one driver of a truck bearing Registration No. JK08E-8064 namely Omkar Sharma, S/O Bishan Sharma of Garnari Marheen for wrongful gain.
Police team led by Inspector, Arvind Sambyal, SHO, PS Hiranagar raided the spot and booked both the persons under relevant sections of Essential Commodity Act and investigation taken up.
