Air service will make Haridwar pilgrimage hassle free: Pawan Shastri

JAMMU, Jan 3: President of Jammu Yatri Bhawan Trust, Pawan Kumar Shastri today said that launching air service from Jammu to Dehradun will make the Haridwar pilgrimage hassle free for which Jammu Yatri Bhawan Trust was constantly in touch with the Civil Aviation Ministry, Govt of India.
Talking to media persons, here today, the Shastri claimed that he had taken up the issue with the concerned Ministry for launching of Air Services from Jammu to Haridwar and accordingly a chain of correspondence were exchanged in this regard ending with letter dated 20.11.2018 with the said Ministry for early consideration of request of Jammu Yatri Bhawan Trust.
“The said Ministry was kind enough in considering our genuine request for the convenience of the public at large and Jammu Yatri Bhawan appreciates the benevolent support of the Minister of Civil Aviation, Suresh Prabhu and Finance Minister Arun Jaitley in projecting our demand in a right perspective,” he added.
The press conference was also attended by Gurdas Sharma, general secretary of the Trust and others.
