JAMMU, Jan 3: During the recently held National Convention of Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad at Karnavati, Ahmedabad, three resolutions were passed and two oaths were taken besides announcement of Dr S Subbhya as national president and Ashish Chauhan as general secretary of ABVP.
The resolution adopted on the occasion, included; Challenges before India towards rising all -round development, demand for improvement in undergraduate education and Supreme Court on the issues of public faith.
This was informed by ABVP State Secretary and Central Working Committee member Deepak Gupta, while addressing a press conference, here today.
“Another proposal on the need to remove Maoist interference from the education sector was passed by the National Executive Council, which was held prior to the National Convention,” he said adding that two oaths for ‘women’s respect for our self-respect’ and ‘vote for golden future’ were also taken during the convention.
In the convention, teams of all the provinces were announced. A total of 4000 workers from all over India were given new responsibilities. Deepak Gupta and Naina Dogra represented Jammu and Kashmir in the convention.
Akhil Wazir and Rajeshwar Singh were also present in the press conference.
