JAMMU, Jan 3: Secretary Ladakh Affairs Department, Rigzian Sampheal today chaired a meeting to review the status of supplies to frontier Ladakh region with the Animal & Sheep Husbandry Department and officers of Ladakh Affairs Department.
The representative of the Animal & Sheep Husbandry Department informed that there is 100% stock of various items relating to Animal/Sheep Husbandry available in the region.
At the outset, the Secretary had a detailed analysis of the stock position of twin districts of Ladakh region. While reviewing the present scenario, the Secretary was briefed that items like cattle feed, eggs, turkey bird, Guineafowl, Medicine, firewood and hard coke have been supplied to district Kargil.
Likewise, for district Leh, all the items like cattle feed, poultry feed, day-old chicks and table eggs have been stored in Animal Husbandry Leh as per requirement.
It was given out that in Sheep Husbandry sector, sufficient stock of cattle feed, drugs, hard coke, firewood and other items have been made available in district Kargil and also in Leh district, cattle feed, medicine, firewood and kerosene has been stored and there is no issue of shortage of these items.
The meeting further had a detailed deliberation on the proposed Pashmina project in Leh and Administrative Secretary passed various directions for completion of the project on time.
