JAMMU,Jan 4: A delegation of leaders who recently joined BJP called on former Deputy Chief Minister & senior BJP leader, Kavinder Gupta here, today.
Those who met the senior BJP leader included Narayan Singh, president Rajput Sabha, Kulwant Singh, Satish Kumar and Ram Parkash along with Rajeev Charak, Baldew Bilowria, Chanchal Singh Manhas at party Headquarters in Trikuta Nagar. While welcoming the all the new entrants, Gupta congratulated them.
While addressing the delegation, Gupta said that BJP is the only party with principles and internal democracy and stressed on the “Sense of service, balance, patience, coordination, positive attitude, sensitivity and dialogue “the seven points to be followed by every worker.
“This is the only party where a booth-level worker like me can become Deputy Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, booth level worker like Amit Shah can become national president o f the party and son of a tea vendor can become Prime Minister,” Gupta said.
“A party that can’t ensure internal democracy cannot safeguard democracy in the country,” he quipped while emphasising that this was key difference between the BJP and the Congress, whom he also accused of corruption. “There was Rs 18 lakh crore worth of scam during the UPA Government but not a single case has taken place since the BJP Government led by Narendra Modi has come to power,” he claimed.
Gupta said in its 60 years of rule, the Congress can hardly boast three achievements whereas the Modi Government has taken 100’s of important decisions, including surgical strike, GST and demonetisation. “BJP Governments do not take decision that people like, but they take decisions that are good for the people,” said Kavinder Gupta.
Gupta alleged that in the six decades of Congress rule at Centre and the previous Governments in the State of Jammu and Kashmir there was no development saying that it was lack of the will and desire to deliver to the people of the country and State in particular. After BJP came to power at Centre and State as partner in Government, J&K has witnessed an era of development and many Centrally sponsored projects and institutions have been given to Jammu and Kashmir, he added.
