JAMMU, Jan 5: BVR Subrahmanyam, Chief Secretary met Governor, Satya Pal Malik at the Raj Bhavan here today.
Governor discussed with the Chief Secretary a range of significant issues pertaining to responsive, accountable and transparent administration, besides security management.
Governor stressed the crucial importance of effective law and order maintenance and every possible measures being taken for the safety and security of people and regain the trust of youth.
Muzaffar Hussain Baig, Member Parliament also met Governor discussed various issues relating to public importance and obtaining situation in the State.
Mian Altaf Ahmad, former Minister and former MLA Kangan met Governor and apprised him about various developmental and public importance issues of the Kangan area. He also discussed the issues of pending payments of contractors and other service providers worked during the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra-2018, besides initiating work on the construction of Zojila Pass and clearance of snow from Z-Morh.
Governor appreciated Mian Altaf Ahmad’s concern and urged him to continue his endeavours for promoting public welfare.
A delegation of trained landscapers and gardeners led by Tashooq Ahmad Sheikh requested Governor to urge the concerned for their engagement in the Floriculture Department. These candidates were trained by the Floriculture Department last year as landscapers and gardeners.
Governor observed that necessary directions would be passed to the concerned to look into the matter. A delegation of contractual doctors led by Dr. Suhaila Rashid Khan requested Governor to urge the concerned for regularization of their services. These doctors were appointed under SRO. 384 and have been extending patient care in Government Medical College and Hospital Jammu and Srinagar respectively.
Governor observed that necessary directions would be passed to the concerned to examine and to take appropriate action.
