JAMMU, Jan 5: A book ‘Yariwun’ written by late Manohar Chandpuri, containing more than 50 devotional songs in Kashmiri language was released here today.
Under the banner of Samooh Theatre and Vemedh Rangmanch, the book ‘Yariwun’ was released by former minister, Priya Sethi who was the chief guest on this occasion while M.L Raina, Relief Commissioner Migrant presided over the function.
Sanjay Saraf, National Youth President and Spokesperson Lok Jan Shakti Party and Vimal Manchanda, President Media Federation Jammu were the special guests.
Congratulating to the organizers of the book release function, Priya Sethi said writers and artists are the very important persons of the society who reflect the social evils as mirror in a very creative way.
M.L Raina in his address said: “We should carry forward the legacy of Chand Puri in order to make the Kashmiri language rich and vibrant.
It is pertinent to mention here that Manohar Chandpuri was a noted poet of the State known by writing for spiritual and religious lyrics.
