Priya launches monthly news magazine ‘The Art Effect’

JAMMU, Jan 6: A third year engineering student of Mahant Bachitter Singh (MBS) College of Engineering and Technology joined by a Delhi Public School (DPS) student have brought out a news magazine titled ‘The Art Effect’ in Jammu and Kashmir state.
Namandeep Singh Dua and Mehak Dua who are brother-sister have dedicated this magazine solely to different forms of art and believe that the magazine will try its best to cover art, languages and culture of all three regions of the State besides incorporating other subjects under different categories.
The monthly news magazine titled ‘The Art Effect’ was today launched at Press Club, Jammu by former Minister Priya Sethi. Ashwani Kumar, president, Jammu Press Club, Arvinder Singh Aman, additional secretary, J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages and senior advocate Sheikh Shakeel Ahmad were also present.
Speaking on the occasion, Priya Sethi said that launch of such a magazine connects civilizations and bring people on a single platform. She emphasized that such a platform where culture of all three regions of Jammu and Kashmir can be brought on same page, was direly needed. In today electronic world bringing out such a magazine is like swimming against current but given the contents of magazine there seems to be an immense potential of such an endeavour into the world of journalism, she asserted.
Ashwani Kumar, president, Jammu Press Club, said that hard work and dedication is needed to take this publication to new heights while Arvinder Singh Aman in his address said that this dedicated magazine will go a long way in giving exposure to art, culture and languages of J&K.
Namandeep Singh and Mehak Dua in their address said, “At ‘The Art Effect’ we will cover every subject under different categories of Art and try to connect with our readers though this medium. Mehak Dua sought cooperation of people of Jammu and Kashmir in making their own magazine a grand success.
