RAJOURI, Jan 6: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Mohammad Aijaz Asad today conducted a surprise night tour of the town after rainfall and took the firsthand review of power, water supply and availability of essential commodities.
During tour, the DC took public feedback and enquired about any hardships faced by them.
He also directed the officials of PHE, PDD and other officials of the essential services to gear up their men and machinery to meet any adverse situation arising due to recent rainfall and snow fall in some areas.
People of the main town apprised the DC about the need to repair the main lane connecting Bus Stand with the town.
The DC on the spot, directed EO Municipal Committee Rajouri to start the repair work at the earliest, moreover, EO was also directed to make the public convenience near tehsil office functional within two days.
The DC also called on various officers and staff members of various departments on spot to check their presence at the Headquarter.
He has already issued instructions to officers not to leave the station during the inclement weather.
Meanwhile, the DC also made surprise visit at the pumping station near Tariq Bridge and found all the employees absent and sought an explanation from Xen PHE Mechanical. Moreover Grid Station Thuddi was also inspected.
Deputy Commissioner also paid a surprise visit at PHC Kallar Chattyar and found only one class fourth employee and ambulance driver on duty. The absentee staff was placed under suspension.
