JAMMU, Feb 1: Bakshi Nagar police arrested a narcotic smuggler and recovered 1900 capsules from his possession.
Police spokesman said that, on specific inputs, police party from Bakshi Nagar police station laid a naka at Shakti Nagar and subjected 26-year-old Sonu Kumar, son of Dhani Ram of Rajpura Mangotra to checking. 1900 capsules were recovered from his possession and was arrested, he added.
A case under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at Bakshi Nagar police station.
Police party led by SHO Ravi Kant made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO West Manik Raj and SP North JS Johar.
