Docs left blade is woman’s abdomen

SRINAGAR, Feb 1: Doctor’s at Kangan Trauma Hospital in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district had to conduct surgery of a woman patient twice in a week as they had left blade inside the patient’s abdomen while conducting her first surgery.
Locals said that a patient identified as Mubeena Jan, wife of Riyaz Ahmad of village Wussan was admitted in Trauma Hospital Kangan for an operation three days back. “After the operation the patient was continuously loosing blood, I requested doctors to examine the patient again,” said Riyaz.
After frequent requests by Riyaz, husband of the patient, the doctors operated her twice and finally found a blade left inside her at the time of her surgery.
Later, the doctors preferred to admit the patient for few more days in the hospital. The patient is presently in the Kangan Hospital. No official from the hospital was ready to speak about the incident.
