Sewa Dal stages protest against MVD Samba

SAMBA, Jan 9: Congress Sewa Dal activists staged protest demonstration against the Motor Vehicles Department (MVD) Samba at DC Office Complex, Nandani Hills here, today.
According to the reports, dozens of workers of Congress Sewa Dal assembled in the DC Office Complex Samba under the leadership of Raj Kumar Bhagat, district president Congress Sewa Dal Samba. They raised slogans against the Department. They blamed the officials of the MVD, Office Samba for not working under proper norms of the Department and harassing the people. They also said that the people face many difficulties when they come into the office regarding work and the officials don’t properly guide them.
Later they met with ADC Samba regarding the problem and apprised him that the people face many difficulties when they come to office for registration of their vehicles or seeking licenses etc. ADC Samba heard their grievances and assured them that he will solve their problem as soon as possible.
However ARTO Samba, Ramesh Kumar Samotra said that yesterday Raj Kumar district president, Congress Sewa Dal came in ARTO Office, Samba for vehicle registration. He marked the file in the name of inspector for physical checking of the vehicle. He went to inspector’s room, and after that hundreds of applicants came in ARTO Office Samba for online learner driving test and the Inspector was busy in online driving test.
He said although the Government has also issued an order that the applicant should not come in the office for registration and the registration file should come through dealer in his office and the Department will send the registration certificate of the vehicle of the applicant through speed post. ARTO Samba said that Seva Dal leader is making false allegations on the officer who cooperates with the people coming to his office from time to time for any official work.
