Fresh WD hit J&K, fairly widespread rain-snow predicted for 72 hrs

SRINAGAR: A fresh Western Disturbance (WD) hit the Jammu and Kashmir which could result in widespread rain and snow during the next 72 hours, a Meteorological department spokesman said on Thursday evening.

Meanwhile, control rooms have already been set up in view of the forecast for heavy snowfall. District authorities have also held meetings to review the preparedness to meet any snow challenge. As the sky remained cloudy the maximum temperature recorded drop and settled several degree below normal in the Jammu and Kashmir. (AGENCIES)
