RAJOURI, Jan 10: Terming the recent decision of the Central Government to extend 10% reservation for poor as most historic decision under the able leadership of PM Modi, BJP senior leader and MLC Vibodh Gupta today said that this once again proves that BJP stands by poor, marginalised and weaker sections of the society.
MLC said this during an interaction with large number of deputations from Mankot, Sadyal, Alaal, Challas, Panjgarian, Muradpur, Swani and Thanamandi who called on him at Dak Bunglow Rajouri.
MLC hoped that Governor of the State will take early steps for implementation of this decision n J&K as well. He further added that this reservation will be in addition to already agreed 5% reservation for Paharis and 5% for weaker sections of society the file of which lying with him after completion of all necessary formalities.
Vibodh said that this decision will have a far reaching implications on the over all growth and development of our county. This he said also very clearly shows that how much Central Government is concerned about poor of this country. This is a practical step towards Sab ka Saath Saab ka Vikas and will allow participation of poor in growth and development of our country.
While reacting to the various issues raised by visiting deputations Vibodh said that he will take this on priority with the concerned authorities. For some demands related to water and electricity supply, Vibodh issued on the spot instructions to the concerned officials for their early resolution.
