‘Anushthan’ concludes with a beginning at Kathua Campus

KATHUA, Feb 2: “Anushthan” the 2- day Business- cum- Tech fest by Kathua Campus, University of Jammu, concluded today with a glittering valedictory ceremony.
Zahida Khan, DDC Kathua was the chief guest on the occasion, while Prof Desh Bandhu Gupta (Dean, Business Studies, JU), Prof Devanand (Dean, Mathematical Sciences, JU) and Prof B.C.Sharma (Dean, Student Placements, JU) shared the dais along with Prof Neelu Rohmetra, Rector Kathua Campus.
Speaking on the occasion Prof Neelu Rohmetra threw light on objective of organizing “Anushthan”, which is first of its kind by any Campus of the University. She said successful culmination of “Anushthan” has enthused new hope and added to the spirit of amity and companionship. She further informed that JU has already finalized the procedures involved in the construction activity for hostels and the Academic block.
Zahida Khan, DDC Kathua, appreciated the efforts of Kathua Campus for organizing this mega event under the leadership of Prof Neelu Rohmetra. Stating that she had served most of her service in Education Deptt, Zahida Khan said she was always ready for helping students. She promised all support to Kathua Campus and assured that the pending issues with her office regarding Kathua Campus would be resolved at an earliest.
Prof Desh Bandhu Gupta and Prof Devanand appreciated the efforts of Kathua Campus in providing quality education at the door steps of the youth in this region.
Prof. B.C. Sharma, Dean Student Placements while presenting his remarks assured the students of all support from his Office in proving placement and skill development opportunities. Dr. Vivek Sharma, Academic Coordinator Kathua Campus presented vote of thanks.
Earlier during the day, various Technical competitions including Tech quiz, Tech Symposium and click and capture were organized in which MCA students from 8 institutions across the State participated.
Pertinent to mention here that around 300 MBA and MCA students from 10 institutions / University Deptts were registered for the Fest. Placement Brochures of MBA-IB at ICccR & HRM, main campus University of Jammu and a combined Placement Brochure for MBA programme at Kathua and Bhadarwah Campuses were also released during the Fest. The events were independently judged by the various corporate experts from the State. The overall trophy for the Business day was bagged by SMVDU, Katra while the Tech day was lifted by Mahant Bachhitar Singh College, Jammu.
