No end to water scarcity in Sector 3, 4 of Pandoka Colony

JAMMU, Jan 11: Expressing their grave concern over the water scarcity being faced by them, the residents of Sector 3 and 4 Pandoka Colony, Paloura today made an appeal to Governor, Satya Pal Malik seeking his immediate intervention in providing relief to hapless people as their repeated pleas to the Departmental authorities have failed to yield fruit.
In a statement the residents of the area said that they have been facing acute water scarcity for a pretty long time and when the issue was brought in the notice of the concerned Departmental authorities they were told that the Department is helpless as the workers are on strike.
The residents said that when there is no such problem any where in the State why their area has been forced to bear the brunt of the strike. The residents said even the officers said that the Tube Well supplying the water was not functioning properly which however has been denied by the Engineers of Mechanical Wing saying that they have no information about the same.
The residents have appealed the Governor’s administration to look into the problem and issue directives to concerned officers to solve the problem so that the people of the area will heave a sigh of relief.
