NHM employees demand regularization

DODA, Jan 13: A day-long convention cum meeting of NHM employees was held today at District Headquarter Doda during which the union leaders stressed upon the Government to come up with a policy to regularize NHM employees.
The meeting was chaired by district president, NHM Union Doda, Faizan A Tramboo. The meeting was attended by representatives from each block, active members and NHM employees of the District.
While speaking on the occasion, Tramboo said that more than 12000 NHM employees of the State have been waiting anxiously for their regularization but Government has failed on all fronts to provide relief to their miseries.
During the course of discussion, it was observed that most of the issues are still lingering on and pending though the Union has submitted ample of representations to previous regimes and Governor Administration in this regard.
The main demands which were mainly highlighted in the meeting include immediate formulation of regularization policy, implementation of equal pay for equal work, enhancement of salary of Paramedical and Management Staff and rural incentives for Paramedics at par with Medical Officers.
Meanwhile, the NHM Union Doda unanimously decided to offer and extend its support to the 48 hours State wide protest call given by All JK NHM Employees Association Jammu as well as Kashmir Division from January 14 onwards.
