JAMMU, Jan 13: In a joint operation, teams from Gangyal Police Station and Greater Kailash Police Post arrested seven gamblers and recovered Rs 10,150 stake money and playing cards from their possession, a police official said.
The arrested persons have been identified as Shamsher Alam, son of Mustafa of Ambika Colony, Gangyal, Mahroon, son of Mohammad Saleem of Kunjwani Bye Pass, Mohammad Manzoor, son of Abass of Kunjwani, Mohammad Imdaz, son of Majrool of Shanker Colony, Mohammad Imran, son of Parvez of Kunjwani, Mohammad Iqbal, son of Mohammad Abbas of Kunjwani Bye Pass and Mohammad Saddam, son of Mohammad Aslam of Kunjwani Bye Pass.
All the gamblers have been booked under Section 13 Gambling Act at Police Station Gangyal.
