KATHUA, May 6: The Hiranagar Police today seized 13 bovine animals along with truck in which they were being smuggled from Punjab to Kashmir.
According to reports a police team led by the SHO Hiranagar Police Station, Kashmir Singh, during a routine naka this morning intercepted a truck bearing number JK02 AJ 4071, which was on its way from Punjab to Kashmir. During the checking the police party found that 13 bovine animals were loaded in the truck. The driver of truck Abdul Majid of Sidrah Jammu was arrested while his accomplice managed to give a slip to the police party. The police seized the animals and the truck and registered a case against the driver.
