UDHAMPUR, Jan 16: The district unit of Akhil Bhartiya Safai Mazdoor Sangh continued their protest and strike on 3rd consecutive day.
A large number of Safai Karamcharis this morning gathered in front of the office of Municipal Committee Udhampur and held protest in favor of their long pending demands.
They raised slogans against the Government and district administration for not considering their long pending demands for which they had given notices to the Government and administration time and again.
Kaka Husan, district president of Akhil Bhartiya Safai Mazdoor Sangh, highlighted the long pending demands of Safai Karamcharis which include non-privatization of recruitment of Safai Karamcharis, increase of ward 17 to 21 of urban local bodies and recruitment of pending post of 217 employees against 548 posts and regularization of those who have completed 7 years of job.
He further demanded clearance of pending arrears of daily wager Safai Karamcharis against the Government order dated Jan 2018, leave salary of 10 months for the retire person on the day of their retirement and clearance of pending cases under SRO 43 immediately. He warned the administration that strike will be continuing till their demands are not fulfilled.
