10 bovine animals rescued, 2 smugglers arrested

UDHAMPUR, Jan 17: Police today foiled yet another attempt of bovine smuggling and rescued 10 animals by intercepting a truck at Tikri.
The truck bearing registration number JK18-1514, was on way to Kashmir when it was intercepted by a Police party, led by SHO Rehambal, Inspr Paramjeet Singh, assisted by SI Pawan Dogra, under the supervision of Zahid Saif Wani, DySP Hqrs. Udhampur.
All the bovine animals were rescued while the accused driver, Imtiyaz Ahmed, son of Mohd Amim of Shopian, Jammu, along with Mohd Imran, son of Ghulam Mohu Din of Shopian, were arrested on the spot.
In this connection, a case FIR number 11/2019 U/S 188/34 RPC 3PCA Act has been registered at PS Rehambal.
